The Law Office of Wilson and Forrest, LLC is a solo practitioner law firm owned and operated by Latina S. Forrest, Esq. The name of the firm honors Attorney Forrest's roots by incorporating both her maiden and married names.
Attorney Forrest has been practicing law in the Greater Baltimore area for approximately 20 years. In 1998, she graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law where she was a distinguished member of the Moot Court Board and served as a supervising certified practicing student attorney with the Maryland Family Law Clinic.
After graduating from law school, she served as judicial clerk to the Honorable Thomas Waxter, Jr. in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. Thereafter, she served as a Staff Attorney at Maryland Legal Aid where her concentration was family, housing and consumer law litigation, including legal matters involving divorce, custody, visitation, child support, marital property distribution, alimony, domestic violence, landlord/tenant issues, small claims, debt collection, and Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. Additionally, she assisted pro se tenants in the Baltimore City District Rent Court and pro se litigants in the Baltimore City Circuit Court Self-Help Center.
In 2010, Attorney Forrest temporarily resigned from the full-time practice of law to care for her very young minor children on a full-time basis. While fulfilling her role as a Stay-At-Home Mom, she provided pro bono representation and legal advice to family and friends on a variety of civil legal matters. Additionally, she earned her M.B.A. in preparation for the launch of this solo practice.
In 2016, Attorney Forrest hung her virtual shingle and the Law Office of Wilson and Forrest, LLC was born.
