Providing Competent, Compassionate, and Professional Legal Services & Representation
Attorney Forrest has dedicated her career to undertaking legal work which allows her to impact society and make the world a better place. For over a decade, she served as a Staff Attorney for the Maryland Legal Aid, where she litigated and advocated for Maryland’s low-income population. During that time, she discovered a sizeable number of Maryland citizens whom -- by definition of the Federal Poverty Guidelines -- are not considered “poor” and therefore are ineligible for non-profit services but whom still are unable to afford typical attorney's fees. Consequently, because of cost, those people between the haves and the have nots find themselves either unable to pursue their legal matters or compelled to represent themselves in court without sufficient knowledge of the law and/or proper legal advice and/or representation.
Statistics have revealed that many cases handled by these Pro Se Litigants have burdened the courts and resulted in worse outcomes for their cases. Thus, via the Maryland Virtual Civil Legal Services (MVCLS), the Law Office of Wilson and Forrest offers virtual legal document preparation; legal advice, guidance and counseling; and educational forums designed to teach and assist people to achieve the same legal objectives as you would had you possessed the financial means to retain a private practitioner to fully handle your civil legal matter. We believe that through our efforts, the ideals enshrined in the phrase “equal justice under law” shall have true meaning for all citizens.
The Law Office of Wilson and Forrest, LLC strives to bridge the gap between the legally served and underserved by empowering people to competently and effectively represent themselves in civil legal court matters.
In addition to providing quality yet affordable full scope legal representation, our firm also provides limited scope representation and unbundled legal services at an unbeatable fee rate which we believe removes the financial barrier for many individuals seeking to access the courts and successfully pursue their legal endeavors.
